“Loved the historically accurate home and setting. It is obvious that the owners have taken great care in building and decorating it after the colonial Virginia period. Delicious, ample breakfast in the morning after a welcome with chocolate chip cookies and tea/coffee if one wishes. Lovely room with very comfy bed and pillows. I happened to mention that it was our 44th wedding anniversary, and next morning we were gifted a lovely card and Belgian chocolates, with a Happy Anniversary banner over...

“Great location & wonderful amenities! You can’t beat the beauty of the river’s view and the woods that surround the property. We stayed with our two young sons and they loved playing outside, the arcade games, and the dock. The only draw back for families is not having an internal staircase, but it wasn’t too much of a problem for us. This is definitely more for a rustic getaway rather than a luxurious stay. It worked very well for our family of boys. ”
